New VW Guy Here

I picked up my new 2007 GTI last week. Traded in my 2001 Toyota Celica. It's going to take some time getting used to the seating position. It feels like I'm sitting in a mini van compared to the low seating position of the Celica. Other than that it's great. I just need to drop it and get some summer 18's when the weather gets better.

My old Ryde

LOL it sits high like a minivan too! Nice to see that VW hasn't changed. Can't wait to see it slammed, but you will bugger up you warranty with the dealer man.

talk with your dealership, if they install the aftermarket suspension you might still have things covered by warranty. warranty claims go to VW canada so as long as they dont know you have aftermarket suspension you should be ok. you might get vibrations from the top dash vent/tray or some interior vibrations, and you might wear out endlinks if you go extreme but otherwise a decent drop and youll still be ok.

That's not always the case... there's a number of "mod friendly" dealers in the area that don't mind small mods, some even will chip the car for you!

Well be sure to check with the dealeership man, I';d hate to see you have a problem with your steering rack and they will not replace it under warranty because they'll say "IT'S BECAUSE YOU LOWERED YOUR VEHICLE SIR"

Well goodluck with the loweing job, i hope your warranty allways it cause that would be cool
