hey guys im thinking on getting a golf.. what motor would you recomend 1.8t or a vr6 motor? and also what modifications to get it up to 350-375 about.. thanks

What year Golf? I've got a rabbit for sale, stock, if you're looking for a VW. As for 1.8t vs VR, well, I'd go VR. Find a 1993 Passat VR6, it's got a distributor, instead of coilpack. Way better setup to do a swap. To get 350 + hp from a VR, just get a cam set, P and P heads, and a nice little K series turbo, from and Audi, or a T03. Nice big FMIC, and you should be pushing close to that. Oh, and nothing smaller than 2.5" exhaust, from turbo back.
