What Engine Should I Drop Into My Mk1 Bunny Convertible?

hey i got an 80 rabbit dont know what i should put in vr6 16v dont know i need help thanks

MrStokic 05-07-2007 07:15 PM

24v vr6 lol

2l 16v bolts right in. Minor electrical work. 1990's Passat is your best bet, and the Estoril wheels that come on the Passat's look sweet on MK1's. Use a 16v GTI tranny, if you can find it. Best ratios. :smilie_da

I actually want a mk1 and put in my other VR6 in it but i believe you have to cut the frame in the engine bay not sure but thats what i would do

The VR, and the G60, require engine bay/frame mods to fit in the MK1 chassis. Not worth it.:smilie_d0

put in a 2L 8v and turbo it...fast, cheap and easier than a vr

turbovr6jetta 08-14-2007 02:12 PM

go with the vr itll be worth the trouble

ALLAN_M 08-14-2007 06:06 PM

do not put in a 8v ull spend all ur money modding it and at the end u will still make 200whp which is a joke

it all depends what your future plans are.. for a daily driver i would drop in a 16v...but if you want more balls i would go with a 1.8t

16V or 1.8T or do an ABA 16VT.
