Wtb gsr computer 99 b18c1

got a gsr motor and no computer to run it, running a civic SI computer with no vtec :smilie_d0 weaaaak. i wanna play with the vtec, gsr computer should sort out the tuning problems ive been having. thanks !

the SI computer should have vtec.

You're looking for an obd2b (99-01) p72?

Or a GSR computer for a 92 civic? b/c if you have a 92 civic an obd2b (99-01) p72 won't plug in.

If you have a 92 SI computer you can chip/mod that one and run a GSR program

how can i tell which is which by looking at the cpu? i have a chip in my computer, i got hustled by a mechanic, he did lots of work for me and i paid for a dyno tune but he never did one. The chip is disconected b/c i couldnt pass emmissions with it hooked up.

The motor runs funny too, way to rich, and theres definately no VTEC, for some reason the rev limiter cuts it off at 8500rpm and i almost lose power when i get it up there.

Zeeman 03-20-2009 08:07 PM

well most GSR's stop making power around 7600rpms (stock) so revving to 8500rpms i'm sure it feels like theres no power up there.

If you want I can help you out, i can read whats burned on the chip and give you the apropriate program. PM me for more info.
