i have a 2004 1.8T Fwd Cvt. i like the car but i am woundering if its worth the money. i have owned this car for about 5-6 months now and i have already had 20 CEL activations and i have changed the coil packs and spark plugs. Car still has check engine light on and now i think my tranny is got an issue. i read up on the cvt trannys and alot of people have swapped mutipule trannys at $6000 a pop. any have any ideas

Thats how Germans make their money through repairs runs perfectly for first five years or so then its constantly in the shop, my Opi when he worked for Mercedes Benz they had days where they would just destroy extra stock so they had an excuse to charge a lot for replacement parts.

Its worth, but only if its Quattro (otherwise its just a fancy passat). CVTs are newish and are known for their problems, i'd recommend replacing your car with a 5spd, wwhich is very very reliable and most of your Audi problems wwill be electronic. I think youh just have bad luck, I know people who have no problems at all for 2-4 yrs, like nothing, even I was surprised.

Audis pwn I love Audis, you can't beat the drive of A4 Quattro std, talk about becoming one with the road lol
