Big Block swap
we did the swap a while ago but i just got the pics on the computer so here they are. My dads not totally sure about it yet, whenever he gets on it the shifter binds up and the trans leaks so he might get a 5 or 6 speed and hes thinking he might put the 327 back in but bolt on a 6-71 first.lol. anyways heres the swap pics. ill get some completed pics later.

what trans is it? If muncie get a good trans (a blower will do teh same thing to it, it's a sign it doesn't like power)tell him once you cross to the dark side you can't go back, and just accept he has too much power for the wimpy trans

yea, its an M-20. he has a spare M-21 but i think if anything he will prolly get rid of the M-20, set it aside somewhere in the garage and buy a new 5 or 6 speed. Who makes a good 5 or 6 speed overdrive trans that accepts the old style mechanical clutch setup and linkage?
also, do you think he should rebuild the bottom end with forged pistons and rods. he already has a stock steel forged crank, arp bolts, reconditioned stock rods and keith black Hypereutectic(sp) pistons. his compression is about 10.5:1. should he get a flat top piston or what? hes not too positive about doing all this yet hes just kickin' the idea around.

I blew a couple m21 with a stock 455, forged internals while being nice aren't really that neccessary unless he plans on adding a few power adders. Check richmond they should have something that will work, or go with a saginaw and gear vendors od kit it will handle more power that way, and give od in each gear (making a 3 speed a 6 speed)
