Build Update
Hey guys, i made a thread about my first z28 which i bought wrecked and its been about 3 weeks so i figured i would show u an update, the hard part is done, the car took like 4 hours on the puller..the side that wasnt hit was the har d part but the bodyman said it worked out eventually, we pushed it back into the shop yesterday and hes going to put the clip i bought on and i should be able to drive it around this weekend, and drop it off at the Paintshop monday for her black with gold pearl paintjob. let me know what you think, and also i was wondering if i should go for shorty headers or longer tube im looking for a 1/4 mile monster. Its got the gears so im starting to modify.

long tubes are the only way to go for pure power. shorties are good for a lowered ride with the basic bolt ons. for a built drag car tho LT's for sure, especially if you plan on doing heads and a cam. with the gears u have, LTs, full exhaust and a good size stall, that car will rocket with a set of sticky tires.

well if you wanna beat a stock ls1 with an automatic LT1, youll need lt's a full exhaust with no cats and a good flowing catback, drag radials to hook, a stall converter to get outa the hole quick, a shift kit, a computer tune for all the mods and that crap. those things will ensure you romp stock LS1s. you can always make it more fun and throw a hotcam kit in there or some plain old 1.6 roller rockers. also an electric water pump is good for some HP. a nitrous setup will cost around 1,000 to do it right and you will be looking at going from a high 12-low 13 second car to possibly a high or mid 11 second car if u do it right. good luck. it will be mean for sure with the gears, stall and headers.

Alright, another question..Does LT1's have special rockers? I have CompCams 1.6 roller rockers on the 327/350 i built for my 88 camaro which i havent even started up yet..Could i put them on there?
Also, i dont think i want to use NOS, IMO its cheating..Im more of an All motor guy, but like supercharging too.
But before the stall converter and stuff, i gotta get the paint done, headers, 18 inch front wheels, 19 inch back wheels, leather and new carpet

wel if you dont wanna use NOS, use NX.... lol j/k
the rockers will work depends if they are self aligning or non self align tho. it will affect weather or not you can use pushrod guideplates.
