There were real cars racing but they raced later that night. fox couldnt wait that long.....

Apparently there was a primered tubbed 70 Nova sitting on a trailer that the owner said would take on anything for 10 grand minmum heads up. I know they raced dusk till dawn and nobody got busted....

Well at least that news story ended positive saying that all they want is the track open again.
When Brotherhood raceway (Termanal Island) was open, street racing droped by a huge number out there.

Big ******* "tow vehicle" Daytona just sold on ebay for 250K...He's still around too.

Money and politics. Terminal Island is not privatley owned. Its owned by the state or city.
Pretty much the same reasons why we will probably never see a track like that here.
I read on one forum about shipping companies wanting to used T.I. and willing to pay large. More that they can make from a bunch of street racers.
