its not that surprising as audi has been running a deisel powered car in the lemans race, but has not been tryed in that form before. should be a break through in the super car industry

i htink its cool. not as cool as toyota's new hybrid sports car thats gonan be released though. will we see the day when supercars break 10 mpg?_? haha

This will hit the market hard, imagine all the folks that have the money for a Lambo, but don't want to spend it on maintanace or fuel... This is a great alternative. The turbo diesel (TDI) motor was build by VW/Audi so you know it's dependable technology.

Yeah Audi managed to squeeze more power more torque and more fuel efficiency out of their new le mans engine compared to the old gas one they had. So I don't see why a diesel supercar would be a bad thing if it can be just as fast as a gas one. But economical when you're not beating on it.
