1.) Paint your valve covers black or polish them- that way they bare metal wouldn't show since you are going for a black/red/polished look.
2.)Take some fine grit sandpaper/steelwool and shine up your brake lines
3.)I think a polished intake would look good and wouldn't be over the top. Since half of it will be hidden anyway its not going to scream look at me.
4.) That air intake needs something, but I'm not sure what just yet...

Those are just minor things, but I think that is the stage where you are at...
I like those ideas and I'll have to really get to work to polish up the brake lines along with everything else.

Well it's the Whisper lid so it came with the lettering "LS1" in red from the factory. I actually took it off because I personally like it looking clean over the stickers that were on it.
Maybe I'll think about painting it and the FRC's together or something but I don't know.

if it was painted on with like a custom LS1 logo with red and like a silver or metallic shadow, it would look pretty cool! my paint skills are l337!

See that's what I'm going for. A really nice but clean looking engine bay. I'm afraid of going overboard.

Looks good bud. The only thing that really kind of sticks out like a sore thumb is the air intake. Everything else looks so clean and neat and like it came that way, not over the top, but the air intake and black plastic under it looks like it is out of place. If it were me, I think I would see if I could get like a split Y going down behind the radiator into 2 cone filters. Almost like a forced induction set up. Maybe in red or polished. I think at that point the engine bay would be one of a kind and really clean and uncluttered.
