hey there,
i'm a reporter for Global News - looking to interview someone who wants to show off their hotrod on tv. don't worry, won't show face/licence plate.
i'm doing a story on the growing phenomenon of illegal street racing and need to find a racer to interview (don't just want the cops point of view).
would also like to show viewers how much people spend on souping up their vehicles and how hot the cars can be.

the story will air on our special Indy show this friday. need to shoot the interview TONIGHT.

I'd take the interview. Try to get a sponsor or something if your car is done nicely. Just hide your plates.

no i passed on it it just came on i cought it on the news... like at 5:40 she interviewd some guy with a Mazda Protoge

Well I just saw it, while I was reading this.
It JUST aired on global hopefully you'll be able to catch it later.
Pretty short... like 5 minutes.
She (MINNA RHEE) Talked to a man by the name of LEE MERTEN who owns a mazda 6 ( correct me if I am wrong my memory is horrible) Very nice car.
He was explaining how the feeling by winning a race is the best feeling.
He seemed down to earth and stood his ground, explaining how racing on the backstreets etc wont hurt anyone...
Then she interviwed an officer. Explaing how they have police helicopters that can catch people quickly nowadays.
They also showed woodbine and 16th.... With a little tag at the botom of the screen saying WOODBINE AND 16TH. I got a chuckle from that.
At the end she asked what would be a good solution and the officer noted he would love to see a track NEARBY the area, and Minna Rhee ended it off with " Lee Merten himself seemed Revvved up with this idea too"

yo i dont think it was a Mazda 6 it was a Mazda Protege 5 wagon style... it was blue and it looked nice..
