Local man loaned his Lamborghini to a friend for a test drive. Said he had always wanted to drive one. The friend got in and went by and picked up his 20 yr old son at the local Chevy dealership where he was a salesman to take him for a spin. They both got in went around the corner, which was on the outskirts of town, imediately floorboarded it and approached a S curve at what the police estimated was over 110 mph hit the curve skidded for 100 yards down the street, hit the curve on the other side, went airborne and landed headon into the side of a drainage culvert and burst into flames. Sad deal. Testostorone and HP don't mix in the wrong hands.

Two unidentified people are dead after a car caught on fire after rolling over on 52nd Street near Loop 338.
The car the pair were in was so badly burned that investigators weren’t clear about the gender of the two or even the make or model of the car.
The vehicle, which was traveling east on 52nd Street, collided with the northside curb and was airborne for about 20 feet before landing and rolling over, Odessa Police Department Cpl. Gabriel Hernandez said.
The accident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. Wednesday. OPD officers were still working at the scene of the accident at 10 p.m.
County Medical Examiner Carl Rogers was also at the wreck taking photos at the starting point of a trail of skid marks that extended for about 100 yards.
Rogers said he had not determined the gender of the victims, but they appeared to be males.
“There’s a lot of marking and measurements that need to be done. We can’t make any conclusions yet,” OPD Lt. Art Fuentes said.
The wreck sent a plume of gray smoke up that was visible from as far away as Business 20.
“Paramedics and DPS were already there when the vehicle was on fire,” he said.
