H2b

H-series is the big block of honda motors and when you combine them wit a bseries tranny you get a amazing combination.
This is what im amazing for next season.

which tranny you gonna use? Jdm b18c5 with a 4.44 final drive?

judgez24 12-25-2007 12:35 PM

jesus it sounds like a dentist drill. like absolute .

the downside to doing that, your stuck with the ever popular the back of my hood is raied mod. looks like youve just rear ended something.

ForceFedSi 12-25-2007 01:05 PM

who cares what it sounds like?? that thing moves.

judgez24 12-26-2007 09:57 AM

cause it sounds like complete and it annoys everyone around it? guess it doesnt matter what it sounds like then. id rather have a hot poker shoved up my ass than to have to listen to that thing on a regular basis.

quick, yes, sounds like , yes. and the raised hood looks stupid

uchi the raised hood is a JDM thing.
the car sounds like ass, but really most hondas do. Its not how it sounds its how fast it is. the sound just comes along for free.

i wish i could afford a jdm itr tranny. For now im goin wit a b16 tranny.

90tegra 12-27-2007 10:05 PM

i'm doing this swap too. what kit you going with brownkid?

judgez24 12-27-2007 11:12 PM

you can get mounts that drop the entire setup and let the hood close right? the hood sits up if you use a b series tranny i think, soemthing like that anyways. but i hear the proper mounts arent cheap.

if you buy the evo kit, the hood will close and if it doesn't you only have to raise it up just a tad. but the QSD kit you have to give it a huge prop, but you get ground clearance. basically function over form for both. stock h22 with b16 tranny and slicks do about mid 12's. so it'll be FAST.

I went with the evo kit

it's all about Function over Form......

not everything is a JDM thing..........that's an old muscle car trick.

judgez24 12-28-2007 04:32 PM

the only real function to raising the hood would be to vent out hot air. other than that its gonna start affecting the cars aerodynamics at higher speeds. really nothing too noticable until you start putting down some big numbers.

how far down does the engine and tranny sit with the kit that lets the hood close? has no one ever adapted a skid plate to the bottom?

im using the qsd kit because you can use aftermarket mounts unlike the evo and the qsd is race proven.

evo kit offers a lifetime warranty on everything. and im pretty sure the mounts are that of hasports qualitywise. but non-theless it sha'll be a fun swap. when are you doing your swap, if your doing it before me pm me if you need a hand. It'll be a good learning experience for me
