their saying the engine costs 50g's to build but i remember seeing a price list for the whole engine and it came out to 25 without install. The crank is the most exspensive part of the whole engine it comes around 10grand.

the engine is supposed to put out 240hbs not sure of tq and as its stated a very short life span.

But I wouldn't want to take it to new brunswick, or any other place that i've driven my 2l 16v rabbit with a t3 from an 84 300z, and GN intercooler. I've got 45,000 kms on it with no problems, never let us stranded, and still gets 35 mpg. highway only lol

$25 000 and only 240 hp?!?!??!?!?!?

What a spectacular piece of that car is indeed. That owner is a moron to spend that kind of cash on such junk

If you can't appreciate an engine designed in the early 80's which was producing 240hp out of 1600cc, you're pretty damn ignorant. It's more like $25,000 and not only 240hp, but one of the most respected and valuable Toyota engines ever built, and something which won't loose its value. Come on, I'm one of the biggest haters on this site and I like that engine.
