Funny that you should call me ignorant.

It's hardly from the 80's as it's actually a virtual copy of the TRD Formula Atlantic motor.

The guy is a moron to have chosen a race engine which was specifically engineered for an open wheel racer that weighs < 1200 lbs and only runs on race gas. That car must run like !

So you're saying that the stock ~100hp motor that came in that econobox is the most respected Toyota engine even built

Well I guess he could have put on different calipers then not just a set of RX-7 calipers, either way I still like it. Those engines scream!

From the top of the page:

So, you have always wanted to build your 4A-GE to Formula Atlantic specs, you just couldn't find them.
Well, here they are, courtesy of TRD, recieved them back in 1988. Thanks a lot, TRD.
Tell me how that engine is not from the 80's? It is built on specifications for the Formula Atlantic 4AGE which were released in the 1980's!

No, what the are you smoking? Where did I say the BONE STOCK 116hp 4AGE is one of the most repected Toyota engines? This thread is talking about the Formula Atlantic 4AGE that produces 240hp and I was referring to it when I said that. Maybe you should pay closer attention to what's going on.

well lets see, stock 4AGE makes 130hp and have it bumped up to 240hp while still keeping it NA is pretty damn good.

its sad but true, most of the ignorant ones usually only have a HS diploma and working at some weird jobs while driving their $3k Civic (no offense to the cool peeps who drive $3k Civics)

and you think those ITB would fit on my car? ah........... the beautiful sound of ITBs on a 1uz

Unlike yourself, that's what we call a hard core auto enthusiast. It's cheap ****** like yourelf that can't afford to build something good.

LOL! i wonder how that car would hold up against an S2000. both 240HP, both RWD, both 4cylinder engines. very comparable cars but i think the AE86 would win due to less weight. sorry if i went off topic but that car is down right sick. i wish i had one.

I'm sorry, but you can't compare driving experiences of a solid axle & IRS.

IRS is predictable and easier to push to the limit, solid axle in another hand, if you dunno the car, better not push it in the corners.

nice moter gay car. dude for real you would rather this than a s2000, or a
vette that would cost around the same price? no matter what you do to the car it still looks like a old boxy obsolete crapbox.
