put it in a ditch Friday night. went off the frontage road, into a DEEP ditch, spun around while going down the hill, hit the back end on the ground rolled out of the ditch hit a tree. ill get soem pictures of the scene and map out how everything happend. still cant beleive thats my car...

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm happy you're ok but I guess you have some work ahead of you.
Just be happy the hood wasn't installed yet.

the car is done, i have to find something else. anyone know someone who wants a wrecked LT1 with minor rear frame damage? under the carpet in the trunk you can see some of the kinks in the body pan, etc. broke the welds on the quarters. the kink in the passenger side fender is not from hitting something with the 1/4 panel, its from hittin the ground so hard.

You know, the front looks fine, how's the engine? Should buy a high mileage v6 and just do a swap. Probably would be the easiest thing to do to get back to where you are.

this is how it happened...
i went pretty much straight off the road and started getting sideways then halfway down the ditch i completely turned and was backwards. i hit the back end straight into the bottom of the ditch and rolled up hill, between a tree and bushes. the tree obviously caught about a half foot of my drivers side and i rolled through the bushes with the passenger side. if i was about another 2 feet away from the tree i woulda hit the retention wall. there was almost no chance of me not hitting either, not to mention i wasnt even steering at that point. besides the damage was already done from the ditch, all the tree did was muck up the drivers 1/4, door, rocker and fender. that is fixable but theres a bunch of structural damage when u take the carpet and plastic panels out of the back by the spare tire and such.http://img457.imageshack.us/img457/4078/crash3ih.th.png

my stupidity.im not gonna mention any specific numbers, but i was going VERY fast about 200 yards from the turn and started to slow, and the amount i slowed from my original speed was so great that it didnt seem like i was going that fast(if that makes sense) like you get off the highway and continue to do 60mph on 40mph street i guess you can say. anyways, i slowed down ALOT and it seemed like enough to make the turn but obviously it wasnt. car didnt have a chance with the speed i was going and the rear tires.

****, I always had a fear that something like this would happen to the young members of the board just as I wrecked mine. You will get more money out of it man if you part it out too.

i kinda wanna part it out but my dad wants me to try to just sell it as is. either way i want to save it till i get another one and take any parts i want or need off it. just trade stock for good stuff from this one. also i might put my trans and clutch assembly in my next car if its auto. idk. i prolly wont have any car at all till april at least. im so mad at myself right now.

it has like 1500 in extras i no i cant get it all, and the drivetrain has got to be worth something.

yea, i plan on keeping the spoiler if i can sell the car as a whole, putting the factory one back on and keeping the wings west for my next car unless i can get a decent amount for it which i would hate to sell it, cause i got an awesome deal and i got it off one of the sweetest looking camaros ever but money is tight, so i might try and sell it seperatly from the car.

just how cheep would you sell the enigne(just wondering)
