Just got the clear corners and rear bumper lenses installed today. This install sucked to say the least and I need to ask for some advice. No matter what I did I could not get the lenses to install flush like the stock units. Can anyone help me out here?

I had to kinda man-handle mine in there.....they didn't fit flush right away, it took a while for me to get them straight.

All I know is that they were a pain to get to, I ended up having to take out my headlights to get to them.

Looks good though.

Seriously one of the things that drove me nuts is this. Our front bulbs are supposed to be a 3157 yet the passenger side socket is actually made for a 1157 bulb. So I had to call a friend of mine (who was coming to my home anyway) to stop by O'Reilly's and pick up a 1157NA bulb.

Looks good! Mine were never flush either..

Looks good. Mine fit in perfect when we put them in, no problem, so I don't know what to suggest.

weird...both mine are 3157.

archemedes 04-25-2005 02:25 AM

the reason they don't fit is they are aftermarket rarely do aftermarket parts fit perfect

JimmyFrance 04-25-2005 03:24 AM

mine fit in perfectly.

archemedes 04-25-2005 01:51 PM

those who's fit was the bumper ever replaced?

aarontracy 04-25-2005 02:32 PM

mine fit.. but my bumper has been replaced and they are a lot easier to line up with the bumper off ;)

Mine fit perfectly and it was the original bumper

meissen 04-25-2005 02:57 PM

Mine fi-- oh yeah, I painted mine while they were still installed. I tried taking mine out but the bolt holding once of the plastic pieces on had bonded with the bumper, so turning the bolt just twisted the bumper's plastic.

Anyway, looks really good, Chris. I say don't worry about the flush-ness, its not noticable until ya look at it up close.

NoRiceInside 04-25-2005 04:48 PM

yep my bumper was replaced and its fits perfectly too

SLPowerZ 04-25-2005 05:47 PM
