My street car build.

I'm planning on using a quad 32mm Mikuni carb setup on a 2l 16v, in my MK1 GTI. I'm going to be using a custom plenum setup, that unfortunatley I can't build myself, so that's going to have to be done by a shop. I want the carbs to be as close to the grill as possible, to get as much cool air as possible. Anyway, here's the carbs, the motor, and the car.

And, her stock engine, still in, and still missing alternator, simply because I've been to excited to finally have the carbs here, I didn't get around to putting in the new alternator today. This motor is for sale or trade, if anyone wants it. Standard 1.8l 8v Rabbit GTI motor.

Wish me luck, I have a feeling I'm going to need it.

B6T street rep is low. keep going
Don't put the carbs too far away from the head... you might lose some top end power if you make the runners too long. I don't know how to calculate runner lengths and all that so don't ask...

how many kms on that killer? Just starting to realize myself that they mean nothing (as long as everything has been maintained/replaced) My buddies DSM has 370k on it and its tighter than mine w/ 220k. good luck w/ it.

There's not going to be runners, I want a plenum built, so that all the carbs can fill one cylinder at a time. I don't think each carb is going to be adaquate. I'm going to cheat, and have someone build the plenum for me, simply because I don't have the knowledge, or facilities to do it. I'll try and find something similar to what I'm talking about.
I'm not worried about topend power, this is going to be strictly a street car, with a tranny from a Jetta GTX, which is similar to the 2l 16v GTI tranny, but with a taller 5th gear.

I really have no idea. I'm 95% sure the guage cluster has been replaced, as it reads 360K, and the seats, carpet, etc, don't have the wear I would associate with a car with that many kms. Also, the motor has a ton of torque still, and again, I think to much for it to have that many miles. I'm guessing that at some point, either the speedo, or the tach quit, and they swapped the cluster.
