Ricerish is telling people that a WS7 or WS9 was a factory option that was better than a WS6 (not directed toward Runn WS7, cause he said he just liked the way the emblem looked). I tell anyone who asks that it is not a true SS, but if they don't ask, what is it hurting that I am not yelling it out everywhere I go that it is not an SS. Nothing.

I really don't care if he was serious about the Ranger comment. I mean it might have been funny if I were putting an SS hood and emblems on a cavalier or something. Then it would have made sense, but the way he used it just made him sound like a *******. And so you are saying if someone offered you an excellent deal on a 69 Camaro that had SS badges on it, but had started out life as a basic coupe with the 307 in it, you would not take the offer because it was not a real SS? I highly doubt it.
Keep in mind we aren't talking about classic cars. For some reason every early model Camaro was either a RS/SS or a SS or some other extremely rare option, so yeah people clone the hell out of those.

Honestly, your car wasn't rice until you put SS badges on it and started telling everyone it's an SS. Props for telling the truth, but its still kind of ricey.

Are you serious by the way, they don't make Lightning body kits for Rangers? I wonder what mine is then... hmmm

I dont see why anyone is saying hes doing what a ricer does. He has everything an SS has and more... and how does he not deserve the right to put SS badges on? Whoever said he doesnt deserve the right to is a fricken retard, he even said that if anyone asked him, he would say its a Z. Hes not posing if hes admitting what it isnt, but has the features of an SS to back it up.

I said it, and I'm one of the few that drive a car that people try to clone. It irritates me to no end when I see a V6 F150 driving around with Lightning badges on it. Regardless of if it had all the parts or not, its still not a SS. ****, my Vette was running 11's, should I have put Z06 badges on it?

I have to agree with Josh, this is no different then putting Type R badges on a Honda.

If you have everything a Z06 has in it, then why not? I dont see why having the same exact setup that a Z06 has, or an SS has, would be wrong to put badges on. I would be proud to show I went through all that work to replicate a car, and if someone notices a flaw, more power to them, and if they dont, a pat on the back to the owner.

Its different if you car was just as fast as one. Thats not proving that you have Z06 or SS features, that just shows you made your car faster. The reason I say this is because there are so few visual differences between a v6/z28/ss or even a coupe/z06. Aside from performance modifcations all I would have to do it put an SS exhaust, an SS hood, and maybe rims on, and your average camaro fanatic wouldnt be able to tell if I were crusing past (aside from the sound). But I'm just saying, its not that hard to look like an SS, and if you did the engine work, I would say technically its not an SS, but in a way it is.

so a hood, rims and exhaust make your car "in a way" a SS? Technically its not a SS, because I'm pretty sure someone else made those. It's different when you slap a hood, exhaust and rims on a Z28 and call it a Z28, but the second you put those badges on there you're a poser and need to hang out with the Civic Type R crowd.

No, but aftermarket doesn't make a car a SS.

You should really go buy some Z28 stickers and put them all over your car.. I mean they look virtually the same right?

You guys are F U C K-tards. You are not even getting the point. The comment about the corvette was absolutely the dumbest thing I believe I have ever had the displeasure of reading on the net.
"my Vette was running 11's, should I have put Z06 badges on it?" WTF?! Who said anything about how fast my car was? Was your vette an FRC with the brake vents, and Z06 wheels, red fuel rail covers, ect.? If not, then hell no you shouldn't put the badges on there if you are gonna tell people its a real one. I am not a poser or ricer for having badges, I just like the way they look better and hell, they were on the car when I got it. I knew it was not a real SS but I did not care. Hell, even the v-6 f150 comment made no forking sense either! If its got the same MOTOR work and everything else done to it as a lightening, why the hell should the owner not be able to make it look just like one too? Just cause you spent way too much freaking money on yours and he did his on his own, doesn't give you the right to knock him for it.

If you make your car look like a Lightning, its still not a Lightning - if you don't believe me, clone one, and then call SVT and ask for your build numbers.

I'm not positive, but I believe SLP does the same type of thing.

I'm not going to sit here and tell you your car doesn't look like a SS, because I'm sure it does, but that still doesn't make it a SS. I have no doubt in your mind that the SS badges look better, but thats selling your car as a SS, not what it really is. ****, you have a Berger panel on it too, why not sell it as a Berger?

Better yet, why not go on eBay, buy a crown and a septor and start telling people you're the king. Ricer.

hey look, this ssmokd guy came to the board with a stick up his ***, but since he came here that way lets just leave it.

you are a poser, whether your attitude reflects it or not, your car is posing as an ss when it is not. you may think you resemble a ss in every way, but you will always miss one thing...the RPO code. thats the whole idea we are discussing.
