it did have a big motor, but it locked up from misuse of a previous owner. Right now there is a buick's 350 w/tranny(that was supposed to be in my 67 Firebird deal that fell through) sitting there ready to go in it, but its not just a quick swap. Some custom parts need to be made to fit it in there. And it does run. We started it up today. Its just having some carb problems right now, the carb needs rebuilt. That's all.

this car has lots of work ahead of it. it was saved from going to the crusher because it was old(its older than most of the members here), and some jerk off a former owner left it sit in a field for almost 15 years to die.

The guy who had it after that used it for a while, didn't treat it right, and that's what caused the motor to seize. Plus the places selling it use to 'test drive' it till the cops would show up and told them to park it and stop leaving tire marks all the way down the road.

It will have a black interior(though most of the interior will be gone, no back seats, minimal extras, roll cage), plus a black exterior, with most likely purple bird, etc if its not left a flat black for the mean look... when its finished. Its just that 90% of the body has to be redone, and built one part at a time. And man, parts for that car aren't cheap. Because of the special Hurst t-tops the weatherstripping is more than any other firebird/trans am w/t-tops..$$$$. trust me, its loud enough as it is. Open headers.

Its a freaking project car for god's sake. It has YEARS of work ahead of it, but some if us aren't lucky enough to get money, or make lots of money to buy nice cars or fix them up so quickly. And when the car is done, it will be awesome beyond words. I know whats in store for that car, and hopefully nothing bad will happen to stop those plans from happening. Arch, when you get that project car you are looking for, you'd better not post any pics of it.

Hey atleast it's runnin, right? As long as you like it, don't worry about the guys. It's a little rough, but I can picture it's potential and that makes it hot regardless.

yes open headers is about as loud as it gets.lol. btw i wouldnt change anything.lol. who cares if it has rust/whatever else. put a kick *** drivetrain in it and just drive it. if someone hits you, who cares fix it to the best of your ability(within reason) and just keep driving it. i always thougth it would be cool to have a really rough beat up car with a big block and built trans and rear end and just drive around with open exhaust, then if someone scrathes your car or hits it or w/e you can say w/e and not care and if someone starts with you you can scare the living crap out of them without even getting out of your car.lol. anyways, good luck with the restoration of the beast. btw does she have a name?lol

WidowMaker. Cause when's she's done, I'll be one. lol

At first the car was going to get a pretty nice paint job, graphics, etc, but right now he's mulling over leaving it a flat black color, though a more professional job, this is just one to get the car a uniform color. But the body will be redone. It has to be, with the holes, etc. Most of it will become fiberglass for weight reduction, but not all of it. Monster engine, chrome wheels, minimal interior, roll cage. She'll be a little terror.
