2TONE_93GT 07-27-2008 09:39 PM

thats 2 red miatas that are lurking this site :)

Sick ride!

Time to turbo it, have you checked out MiataTurbo.net ?

P90Puma 07-27-2008 09:42 PM

Thanks Guys,

1. yea, they are 225/45/15 RS2's.

2. Rick, I still owe you that autox run. I orginally planned to make it out to the fbody autox today, but the paint is too fresh to eat a cone.

As for lurking, I spend my time over on mt.net, I come here every once in a while. It's pretty much the only local forum.

Wow, I don't think I had seen that thread before... you put in a hell of a job there. How do you find your acceleration from a stop on those tires with stock power? After the exhaust, intake and cat change on my car it was zippy as hell off the line until I put on the bigger meat.

Reminds me that my front bumper needs to be repainted, and of my other numerous bits and pieces of bodywork to be done some day :(

lol @ acceleration. It's a bone stock 1.8L miata with an EMS (that is sitting on my desk until I have time to reinstall it) even with the 110-115whp it made with the EMS, it is still slow as balls.

Bodywork sucks, I will still be doing some on spare pieces, but the work is not rewarding unless you treat it like a hobby. I spent most of my summer working fulltime and coming home to huff bondo dust.

It is the slowest, but best car I have ever owned. I will fix that eventually. I need at least a year to become proficient driving the current setup, but I for sure won't wait that long to boost it. (knock on wood)

The car isn't a cruiser, it isn't simply putting the pedal to the floor next time you are next to a C5 or 911 or whatever. It takes so much time to get that last 10% out of the performance of the car, even at stock power. Boost it up to 250whp, and it takes years.
