Peel Police Crash - Erin Mills - Sheridan Park
Not much to say other than Erinmills has been closed for hours. Everything is taped off.
It appears as though a Peel Police officers was making a left onto Sheridan Park when it was struck by a south bound traveling vehicle. Without knowing any of the witness statements, hard to say who's at fault.
Police car sustained front end damage where as the other vehicle is a total loss as the roof has been cut off with the jaws of life.
Even while behind police tape officers were flashing their flash lights at pedestrians taking pictures. There was no body or anything like that, just reconstruction team on site. That kind of erked me. If you dont want people take pictures put a tent up and move the lines another 50 yards out. Its been hours since the incident, people are curious creatures.

Talk about Deja vu! I was a juror in the last town I lived in and the case was a civil case from a citizen against an officer, doing the exact same thing! Went to make a left turn, at a light, light was read when he entered the turn and a car struck him coming the other way after it turned green. The girls ankle was pretty messed up.
We ruled in favor of the girl after we heard all of the evidence. The judge came back to the jurors chamber after the ruling and said we had the right ruling in his opinion. They couldn't enter as evidence the fact that this was the 3rd or 4th time he had had an accident while on duty!

A Peel Regional Police officer, and two other people were taken to hospital with injuries following a crash that closed Erin Mills Pkwy. last night.
Sources say the victims, including a child, are all recovering.
Mississauga firefighters used the Jaws of Life to extract the occupants of a black Mazda, at the intersection of Erin Mills Pkwy. and Sheridan Park Dr. around 9 p.m. It collided with a Peel Regional Police cruiser.
The roads in the area were closed for several hours while the Major Collision Bureau investigated.
No other information was available.
