I was promoted to a managment possition at my job so I started to really bring in a good amount of money and since I didn't have to pay for food, rent, utilities, etc... I was able to just blow it on whatever I wanted. I took my gf out to really nice restraunts all the time, bought her expensive gifts, and so forth. I really miss it.

there is nothing wrong with saving money. In fact its a very good thing. Speaking of overtime and being away. I never see my husband at all during the week, and am lucky to see him on the weekends. Some say I have the perfect marriage.

I agree, that's why I put a lot of money into different savings accounts(my wife's in college so we get even higher rates on them), IRA's and we dump as much as we can into my 401K because it'll do the most good at my age.

Alright, my work is 3 miles from my house, I only drive the honda during the week, every day. I drive the Trans Am Friday night and Saturday night, so gas isn't an issue. In the summer, I work 40 hrs at 8.50/hr which comes out to be $340, and after taxes, ~$290 or so. I only keep maybe $20 of that for the week just in case I need any, and the rest goes in the bank. That happens all summer, as I only spend money on Friday and saturday night. I've been saving the majority of my money up, simply becuase I dont spend it, and when I do want to spend it, I'll have it the for me.

Yeah, thats what really pisses me off..

Ok, im sure you all know the my dad bought my car.. BUt I buy everything that goes onto the car. Everyone says that theres no way that I could get that much money to pay for the things I bought for my car.. But see the thing is, when I get my check on every Thursday, I take it to the bank and put it all in there. When they get their checks they cash them right there and have the cash to buy stuff during the week..

So they think that my dad pays for all the things Iv done to my car, which makes me really mad..Iv worked hard to get my rims, system and other things Iv done.. Sorry but I just had to say this...

So you people are telling me in high school you guys could afford what at the time was a 16-22+k car? Thats a lot of saving up to do and i doubt you were working before you were 16 or maybe if you were not much before. You cant work full time because of school other than the summer but u still cant by a long shot afford such a vehicle. Now im not trying to sh*t in ur coffee or anything im just curious on how you got it. Not curious about the mods, just the car in general. You're saying you could afford a 16+k car at the age of (enter age here too lazy to find out) because you live at home and have no bills. Has to be a lie. That or somebodys giving you paycheck size allowance. No way you could get a loan. Im just curious here kido its a beautiful car just wanna know how you managed to get it.

Car was $17000. I got $4000 from my old car. Father gave the dealership a check for $17000. I gave my father the $4000 from my old car, and $6300 saved up. I've been working since I was 14 by the way. I work for my father, so before, I was just payed in cash, and when I turned 16, I was put on the payroll for the business. I've slowly been paying off my dad for the rest of the car, but he, nor I am in no rush, which is why alot of my money goes to mods. He doesn't seem to mind, so why should I?

my only suggestion would be some nice polished/chrome grille inserts for thehood.. a nice accent for the front to tie your chrome all over the car together
