I'll show you the valve cover from my engine and then you can tell me what it is, Mr. Valve-Cover-Genius. Guess what, not everyone knows or cares what an SR20DET valve cover looks like.

I think that's retarded anyways, why would you put an SR20DET into a TOYOTA? Toyota makes an engine with similar output, the 3SGTE, so why bastardize the car by putting a non-Toyota engine into it, even if it is a very potent engine. IMO, The car should be running a turbocharged and built 20V 4AGE with standalone... not a Nissan SR20DET.

PS drifting is gay.

They put an Sr in a Toyoto for the same reason Civic ginos do S14 conversions...to be different. But in this case it is actually useful.

I agree with you in the sense that he should have kept it Toyota powered. But people with money and the desire to be different do strange things, although SR powered AE's are pretty common in Japan. Go to jspec.com and look for a 1JZ powered S14 for eg.

PS. Who said anything about drifting? Just because you see an AE86 or a 240/Silvia does not mean that the car/owner parekes in or is somehow associated with drifting.

Actually MR.knowitallfred, the reason why people dont use the 3sgte:
-the engine only came FF setup so youd need alot of custom fab ie: mounts and everything else to put it in.
-tranny is another issue theres only one site i know of that makes an adaptable bellhousing to use the T50 corolla tranny with the 3sgte. PROBLEM the tranny wont take that much power. You could use a porper RWD 3SGE tranny but that only comes out of the ALTEZZA the car being fairly new the tranny would be exspensive where ever you live. You could mate a supra tranny to the 3sgte but then again more FABRICATION.

Now comparing the SR20 to all that its just a hell of alot easyer, cut a new shifter whole seal the old one move the mouths do the wiring and your done
