you sure thats not a straight 6?

newbieracer 01-14-2006 06:39 PM

i think it is a straight 6 with itb on the driver side.

I belive the intercooler is off a volvo 18wheeler

It's a euro spec E36 M3 motor. The euro spec had the ITB's vs a single TB on the north american version. It's a 3.2L straight six not a V12. Too bad thats not an M3 chasis either but either way its a really really sweet ride. Gotta love the E30s :lala:

That isn't an E36 M3 motor... it's a euro spec E34 M5 motor (3.6L 340HP stock)

I couldn't find a pic of the euro spec M5 motor but here's the M3 motor and damn it looks identical. Im not saying you're wrong because im not 100% sure myself. If you could find a pic of the M5 motor so we could compare that would make it easier.

I know that it's not an M3 motor 100%... the valve cover is different, as well as the front of the timing chain cover...

Here's a few more pics of the car (notice the differences-like the intake mani which is from a 5 series).... also notice the 338 designation he gave the car.
