Well i snaped some pics of the progress i made with this piece of **** tranny i had... was definatly the worse transmission removeals i ever had to do but it will be well worth it.. everything is off except the stall and the tranny lines i hacked off cuz i got impatient with it.. i got high pressure rubber lines on the way with the race tranny and a new 3600 stall... should be fun...

Note: yea that does look safe how i have it jacked up doesnt it haha, hey it worked... pretty solid on there too..

arent you supposed to unbolt the converter from the flywheel and take the trans out with the converter in it. or am i missing something

that's the easy way to do it other wise the trans has to slide back enough to clear the converter

and make sure you install the converter in the new trans first, unless you like buying transmissions

Yes i left the converter on because they weigh a lot so it make it easyer pullin the tranny out, when i put the new one in im mounting the stall on before it goes in. i just took the easy way out taking it out..
and everyone i know it looks like it a redneck job just just because of the way its sitting but if you know what your doing there is no problem with it... atleast im doing all my own work unlike most that take thier cars to the shop and pay a left nut just to get gears put in..... give me a break im ****** doin it myself so its done right. theres no need to be hardasses about it

good to see progress. Don't take it all personally, they are just yanking your chain. You should see some of the crazy stuff my husband would do once ina while. Especially with his T/A project.

Thank danielle, yea i dont know i just got lil pissed cuz most people on here take thier cars to shops to get all thier work done, im doing it myself with what i have to work with.. it makes it worth every every scrape and cut i have all over me from doing it. i just cant wait to get the new stall and converter on see how she performs... im hoping to have it all back together by early next week, im going up wesnday to pick the new tranny up. then the fun part of puttin it back together will begin. And yes i do a lot of crazy stuff that most people wouldnt do working under cars, if you want in done right you have to do it yourself.

we had a guy on nastyz28 last year that died because of his car being supported like that, it came down and killed him and he laid there for hours before someone got home, if you aren't working safe (stacking wood is not safe) then your not working smart

I do everything on my car except rebuild a trans (I pull my own usually)I also take it for alignments for now (I will have an alignment machine in my garage)

hey, thats somthing nice to say... why dont you scare him too... just let it be... he says he has jackstands under it when he works on it, so its probably fine.. why would you even say somthing like that? Thats like telling someone that the same flight they are taking tomorrow blew up today
