We did have several extra wheels with tires to burn up so people didn't have to worry about it.

Funny story.

We did get stopped once by the local sheriff but he was pretty cool and said he liked the spot we choose and gave us idea's for other spots but on the record he told us to stop.
So we stopped for about five mins and started up again and decided to head back to the cabin to regroup and plan out what to do next. That's when it really got crazy...
Ok so we decided to go out and shoot some races. It's really wierd because no one had a good feeling about it. The driver of the silver LT1 TA said right before we left he was probably going to get hurt on this one. Then we get to the spot and I start to get a bad feeling in me because it simply was a horrible spot to do it. The plan was to have the silver LS1 TA and the silver LT1 TA come around the turn and then the LT1 that was behind the other guy would pull out onto the other lane and pass him basicly showing him up. So we put a guy at either end with walkie talkies to let us know if someone was coming. Unfortunitly we didn't know the one guy's battery died. So they come around the corner, the LT1 pulls into the other lane and comes up the hill. At this point we see the pick up headed straight at him but because of the hill the TA and the pickup couldn't see each other. We're all waving and screaming at both the pickup(who didn't slow down ever) and as soon as the TA comes over the hill going well over 100mph(I think he said the last time he checked he was going 130mph) and see's the pickup. Needless to say if they hit both parties will be killed instantly but the other TA's in the other lane so he can't pull over. He locks up the brakes goes completely sideways with smoke coming off all four tires. Worste part is he's headed straight for me! Everyone else was on the other side of the road but I was right in his path!! He let's of the brakes so he can control it and has no choice but to come in my direction. He hits a dirty patch right in front of me and get's airborne. I litterally dive as fast and far as I can. Let me just say I can't even begin to describe to you how I feel at this point. I hear the car coming behind me, I feel the heat, and I feel corn hitting me(he was flying into the cornfield that was right there). It was pure terrior knowing that if I get hit my life is over or at least my legs are going to be cut off and at this point since my diving away from him I don't know if he's going to hit me or miss me. Like I said I got hit by the corn he was pushing over, the people there as well as the driver said that he missed me by less than six inches!!!!! He then fly's through the cornfield for about fifty feet with corn just flying everywhere. I'm laying on the ground as half the people run to him and the other half run to me to see if we're ok and alive. They all told me that they knew I was dead and that they expected him to land right on top of me. I have NEVER been so scared in my life, I now know what it feels like to honestly think you're going to die or get hurt very bad.
Here's a screen shot from the video I was shooting at the time of him in the corn field. Unfortunitly I don't have the whole thing on tape. I have them coming around the corner and then you hear everyone screaming and that's when the tape ends. I must have shut it off by accident when I tried to get his attention to tell him to stop. It then turns back on when I'm standing in the corn field. Just so you know I'm standing 3/4's of the way in his trail in this picture so it doesn't really show how far he went.
Oh and we still haven't gotten all the corn out of his back seat or engine bay.

Oh so we hear someone there use the word cops so we hit the road and fly out of there. We call one of the people there that the guy that lives there know's. He said the state troopers where there, the local cops were there, and they had dogs there(probably just happened to be a K9 unit that showed up first).
If that wasn't enough we went out the next day and did it all over. We saw a guy trying to write down plate numbers while his wife was on the phone so he hit it running pretty hard there as well. Then a cop comes up behind us looking at each car one by one, I'm not sure if he was looking at the plate numbers or what but then he gunned it and left us.
Luckly I didn't have my car out any time the cops showed up, were called, or people were trying to write down plate numbers.

holy **** thats a crazy story. Glad to hear that you are all alive and well though, it would have made for a cool movie. Im curious to see the movie..

When a cars coming at you at over 100mph you'll be suprised what you can do. To be honest I don't really even remember all of it. I just remember him coming at me and then getting up several feet away. Everyone said I dove like crazy to get out of there. All I know is I'm not full of bruses(sp) and cuts that I must have gotten from getting hit with the corn(I don't think it was the car but I guess it could have been).
