i can get a new bird emblem, but i'd need it painted, and its not worth it. it will grow on me.
and about the cost...1239.80. however the quality of this paint job is only worth 500 IMO. there are runs all over, there is a pit in the primer and weird scratches in the rear quarter panel, theres a spot where it looks like they forgot clear coat, and inside the fog light wells they forgot black.
im pissed, as this is the second time maaco ****** me. the first time they made it right, carmen looked great. so im hoping they'll come through for me. regardless this is the last time i deal with maaco.
so its going back monday. if they refuse to fix it im cancelling my credit card payment to them.

The car looks great in the pictures Caleb. I can definitely appreciate your frustration though when it comes to paying for something and it not turning out to your expectations. Unfortunately Maaco isn't really the place I would expect too much from. They've been known to surprise people from time to time, but there overall record is quite lacking. I know a guy that use to work for them, and unless he was slipped a few bucks on the side, he didn't worry that much how it turned out.
Hopefully they'll fix those things that you mentioned though. They should do it as a condition of the contract you sign when you leave your car with them, although nothings for certain. I don't think I would cancel the credit card payment if they don't though. There are laws against that sort of thing and I'd really hate to see it backfire in your face. If for some reason they don't fix the things you mentioned, there are several things you can do about it. Let's just assume for now though that they will do it, and worry about the rest later.
Again, I think it looks really good from the pictures you posted, and I actually like how it looks without the emblem. I'm just so siked about having another shiny black car again myself.
Sorry about the novel, I just felt like mentioning everything in one post.

and heres an example of the quality of this particular paint job. they charged me an extra $75 for a poly primer for the front bumper because there were spider cracks and other body work done to it. they said the poly primer will help fill the imperfections in the body work and help fill the spots where the spider cracks were sanded.
well heres the result (look at the top of my head):
