That was chicago and thats just the way it was there. I had video footage from there and those guys are nuts.
The 69 chevelle was the one that lost traction and cliped the back of the malibu sending it in to a spin.
The stock 4 link suspension on those cars are very good for drag racing with very little mods. Those cars have touched the 8 second mark with nothing more than boxed in trailing arms and drag shocks. Way better than any front wheel drive car out there. They do not belong in a junk yard.
And dont worry. us guys with cars like that hate yuor little tin can under powered crap riping up and down the street as if you were in a cross country race. Matbe thats not you, but thats what we see all the time.
