Which Alarm Do you have?

Which Alarm do you have - Compnay and model number?
Which car is it installed on?
Are you satisfied with your alarm?
Tell us any stories about it and if it has gone off or gone off and didnt work and still got stuff stolen?

Thanks.

ive owned a couple. originall i ran a warlock, this is years ago. was a real pain in the ****. after to brain replacements (on the unit) i finally got an alpine. It too was having some issues... some time passed and i finally went out and bought a clifford. Purchased it with 3 sirens, 1 back up and proximity. Was the best alarm i ever had till i took my car in for the turbo kit and the shop wrecked it

For some reason it just no longer works. They said it went off and rather than shutting it off they cut the siren...

Vipers have a real good rep too!

o yea i can give u the greatest story about an alarm system.
i have not had that many alarms in total. A compustar and a viper. the compustar was the first one iv had i picked it up for 400 instaled. last year sometime. amazing alarm system very userfreindly, always went off right and never had anything missing. well then i had this viper alarm in the gsr. well it was an ok alarm. but nothing compared to the compustar, because if the viper wud be better then the compustar i still wud have have my car. that day i never heard the alarm went off. and nobody else heard it go off neither.
yep that hit was so hard that i am still crieng about it.

Ive seen alot of people recommend Viper or Compustar! Im looking at a 2 way paging alarm. I dont want anyone breaking into my car this summer or even stealing my car and driving it away! I need an alarm that will react quick and loud. I might look into the compustar and viper. What are the model numbers or model names for some great alarms made by compustar or viper?

Air horn

If you want something loud, hook up a air horn to your alarm. I've seen it done and if it goes off you will hear it, lol.

I have an older clifford alarm, works but the remote seems flakey these days... as if there's a lot of interference. It works when I'm in the parking lot at work (underground), but has a hard time outside.... as if the remote's on the same band as other stuff... Oh well time to upgrade =)

I have a compustar 2W900FM-AS (http://compustar.org/security_with_remote_start.htm) dont like it too much.

problems I've experienced :

a. siren blew on me
b. remote short
c. passenger door wouldnt unlock (i think this was more an installer/programming issue)
d. sometimes remote start wouldnt work .... it would go into on mode but wouldnt crank.

clifford seems to be a really good one.
