Amp Fuse

I have blown my fuse on my amp 3 times and I don't know why it keeps happening. I don't even have it up to half way and it blows sometimes. It has a 30 in there, should I put a bigger one in? Will that help? I just don't think that it should be blowing out this much. I can understand if its cranked all the way, but not like it has been happening. Help anyone?

what kind of amp do you have? how many fuses in your amp and what kind? what gauge power wire do you have?

I think the 30A is definitely way too small for any amp, the smallest I think used on an amp would be 60A.

99% of the time theres an improper ground or grounding causing a short in the wiring, make sure the wires running dont have any holes or cuts.

the 30 amp is fine, it depends on the amp and its power requirements, DO NOT PUT A BIGGER FUSE IN THE AMP, this will very likely lead to damaging the amp, the fuse is there as a damage prevention measure, if it keeps blowing check all your connections, power and ground would be the first to look at, check if you have any shorts, loose wires, stripped wires that could be causing it, if you have checked all the connections and they are fine then something is wrong with the amp internally

Replace wiring to 4G or 2G or 0G wiring and it should be able to handle the power your system is sending out. Wiring and components are what make systems pound not the equipment you have.
