Amp Power

my friend Owns the same car as me just a year older and we were trying to find a place to run the power wire from the Amp to the Postive battery terminal on his car but we couldn't figure out that thing is sealed up ther was no way through the fire wall. does anyone have any ways to run this wire or an easy place to slip it through the car is a 86 cutlass. we tryed traceing my wire but it just disapears and we then lose it. any sugestions on how this should be done would be very appreciated.

Just drill a new hole through the firewall... it's probably going to be the easiest way.

Make sure you don't drill through any wires though... and use a grommet to protect the wire!

i'd probably drill so that the wires go behind the fender to make sure no damage to anything then run it up from the fender to the hood because you should be able to just run it through without drilling another whole and there isn't anything in the fender that will be damaged other than the fender itself.

the chinz (& easy) way of doing it would be to drill a hole in the rubber boot around the steering column from the firewall. (assuming the cutlass has that or any other rubber boot). I wouldn't drill into the inner fender because over time that hole will probably rust out...
