amp question

i got a quick question... i got 2 JL audio 10inch subs.. i wanted to know what kinda amp i should get to power them, im pretty illiterate when it comes to car audio. How many channels would i need only 2? i was also thinking of hooking up an amp to run the 2 speakers in the side posts, could i run the subs and those speakers off the same amp with say.. a 4 channel amp? thnx for any help, its much appreciated

id go with like a multi channel amp so you can run the sub out(rca) for the subs and the rear out(rca) for them side post speakers, would work out a lot better.

if u get a 4 channel you would have to get one with a lot of watts enough to power the subs most 4 channels are for the 4 speakers i suggest getting a 2 channel for subs and 2 channel/4 channel for speakers for subs i would go with a rockford fosgate or polk audio

you can run a mono block amp that will work great, get an electronic crossover, and a mid power 2 channel for the other speakers that will give the best sound, but tend to cost more money.http://www.crutchfield.com/S-K9pXvft...2&search=P8002
