amp uses up gas???? weird !

maybe the guy stealing your gas watches you take your stereo in and out.. and he only steals your gas when you have no stereo.. this used to happend to me until i kicked his ***.. the my stereo stayed in my car for good.. (just kidding) good luck though with this senseless problem..

The only time my gauge has gone down when the car isn't running is when I parked facing down a hill....but after I drove around for a while, it went back to where it should be.

Possibly an electrical thing as stated before. Kinda like when the lights dim when the volume is up.

Or because your fuel level meter is at the rear of your tank... when the car is parked facing down the hill all the gas is 'pushed' to the front of the tank.. making it think there is less than there really is.

Thats pretty much a given. Since he obviously didn't think of that, I thought it would be a reasonable explanation. But who knows how he parks his car.

OK bare with me for one minute....Is it possible he has used screws that were way to long and has grounded out or tapped into the harness on the sending unit and then it changes the levels when the amp is powered up vs. disconnected?? This is very bizzare. hehe thought of a funny (Maybe its one of those new hybrid amps) You know elec/gas. hehe Sorry couldnt resist.
