I carry just such an animal (have one in the gp works great) it puts a little remote emitter somewhere like the console (you can barely see it it's so small)PAC SWIX# Infrared learning remote which can virtually learn all aftermarket
# radios? wireless IR remote signals
# Converts the signals generated by the factory remote location
# controls into infrared signals
# Retains the steering wheel heater & air control buttons on all
# GM vehicles
# Simple 3-wire hook-up
# Step-by-step programming with LED confirmation
# Non-volatile memory will not
# lose programming even when
# power is disconnected
$49 plus shipping, it ships from AZ

I have always hated steering wheel controls for the radio, gayest thing ever IMO.

Arch, my friend has a Honda Accord with the radio controls on the steering wheel as well. When they installed an aftermarket stereo system the controls on the steering wheel stopped working. You sell a device that will make the steering wheel controls work for the radio again?

same unit.I love the steering wheel controls, I don't ahve to reach over to the radio for volume, or find the remote that always falls between the seat and console

Unfortunatly, my Camaro is without the steering wheel controls . But the new stereo I purchased (Pioneer double din) had a wire in the back for hooking it up to the steering wheel. So I take it you guys don't have that with your new stereos hmm?

most companies don't have it since it's 6 wires on one car, 4 on another, 10 on another and so on (that is probably for a pioneer sourced remote like blaupunkt has had for years)
