Oh Yeah......I have the tops. I just don't use the rear comartment for storing them when they're off. I either leave them at home....or lay down the back seat with a blanket protecting them.

As far as the cost....it was right around the $3000 mark. It would have been about 300 or so less if I had done it myself. Unfortunately my back is so screwed up from all the accidents I've been in, there are certain things I'd just rather pay someone else to do. As long as I'm still able to afford it, I figure why not. And, it helps to know someone at a stereo shop so that you get better deals.

Yeah, the people that I've heard talking about them all say that there's really only enough room for one top to fit in the hole without the threat of scratching the glass. I see them for sale quite often after they've just recently bought 'em. They always have the same lame excuse too......"Decided to go with something different".

The one person that I actually talked to about the box basically said: "you can squeeze both of them in there, but if you have any kind of power running back there, I don't recommend having one". That, and they still stick way up out of the hole.

well since im building my own maybe i can tweak it so they sit at a flatter angle so they dont stick up to high and also make the slot a bit bigger and line it with padding....
