Bass gain control

with the bass gain control how do you know what max or whatever is so you dont completely messs your sub?

c ur car can rattle with minimal bass the reason behind distortion is cracking in the speakers which is usually the cause of blown subs because ur feeding too much juice. also why would you ever put them that loud do you wanna mess up ur hearing??
