Best Subs/box For This Amp?

hey guys my buddy just bought a rf t8004 amp and is lookin to get some subs that slam hard. the car is a 03 gti anniversary edition with the monsoon audio from the factory. money isnt a big issue but nothing crazy. he was thinkin of gettin the p3's or the type r's but maybe something from the power series would b better? thanks

yo man i got 2 12 inch 1242 type rs and omg there mental crazy subwoofers and not 2 expensive i grabed mine 400 both Type r all the way prefer it over p3 anyday

That's a 4 channel amp what is doing with the other two channels and with that power I would say that P2's would be a better suggestion.

8004, get urself really nice component set of speakers, dont bother getting subs with it. wouldnt power it as u wud like

so the subs are too powerful for the amp? what do you guys think about the power series subwoofers?

no sub can be too much power for an amp, since a sub does not GIVE power. but yea, you will be underpowering. power series subs are really good, competition rockford

Can't he bridge the channels in a two channel and run two dual voice coil subs?

Yes, he could run both channels bridged.
