Blowing fuses

Hey, im not sure if this is in the right section or not, or weather or not there is a different post similar (i did look) but here i go. im just curious as to why the fuse on my amp blew so quickly. i got it installed and after about 20 mins of having it turned on and the subs going, it blew. i know its possible to have a fuse last a long time, and i dont wanna change it every few hours. does it blow because i have the sub control on my deck to high? or is the amp itself turned up to high? just wondering if anyone has a simple solution to this.

brianb has a spectacular aura aboutbrianb has a spectacular aura about
do what 2tone says and check the wiring and ground. Make sure the paint is scraped away where its grounded and the ground is tight. With the subs wiring make sure the neg and pos wires are not touching. Also check to make sure that the subs are the right impedance for the amp cuz if its too low of a resistance that could be the problem. What type of amp is it and what is the impedance of the subs?
