if you want the latests and greatest out of the way maps (traveling the dakar rally?) then you pay for them, the street pilot is the best selling gps, and I have 2 in my house very good unit, has a decent suction mount also

Get the 350, cant beat its price and features. It doesnt get the weather for you like the 680 and some others, but doesnt that cost a monthly fee?

Yeah, from what I hear/read you get a trial of it, then you have to pay a monthy fee, or you can pay a lifetime fee. I guess Im not too concerned about that.

I guess the jump is wether I want bluetooth or not.. But I really dont know how much I would use it.

So I think Ive narrowed my search down to the Nuvi 350 and the Nuvi 660. The 660 obviosuly has more features and benefits, but the 350 isnt bad either. Just depends on if those extra features are worth the extra money. Anyone have experience with the 660?

Not sure if your car has a double din or not. If you do, and your already considering spending $400 or more and have a little patience, just keep watching Ebay and buy an in-dash unit. I kepy bidding on Eclipses and Pioneers for my truck and would stop when they hit $600. Took about a month of bidding to get my Eclipse AVN-5435 for $525. There is no comparison at all to the portable units.

I have the 350 and am very happy with it. I'll have to double check what the 660 offers to see what it does better.

I just got my whole stereo hooked up last year, so Im not really looking to change it right now. I would like a portable one anyway, so I can use it no matter what car I am in. Price also isnt a concern, I get a good deal on Garmins through work, so Ive narrowed it down to the 350 or the 660.. About $100 difference, so Im just trying to decide of the $100 is worth it.

Here's what I was comparing:

I guess really the only difference Im seeing now is the 350 doesnt have bluetooth.. Which I really dont need. That and the screen sizes... But I really did like yours chad... Maybe I will go with the 350 unless I hear somthing thats spectacular about the 660.

The extra screen size is always nice but I love mine just as it is. It has been such a large help, I can't even describe how nice it is to not even having to worry about being able to find a place or not.
My wife's car wouldn't start and she works an hour from home in an area of Milwaukee I've never been to before. So I just put in her work's address and it told me exactly how to get there.

The only problem I have is it will always want to take the shortest route which is good in most places but like the trip to CSF it'll want you to take the highway through Chicago which I just hate. I'd much rather take 294 and go around the city all together. I did find a way finally to fix that so you can have it give you the directions you really want so I guess that means I don't have any complaints with it at all.

No matter which one you choose you'll be extremely happy with it.

the 350 should be fine, the 660 isn't that much better unless you like playing with bluetooth
