Help with Kenwood deck

Around christmas last year i got a kenwood KDC-MP528 deck, and put it in myself. It worked fine until tonight. We were hookin up my friends eclipse sub and rockford amp up. So we started the car to see how it sounded, and my deck played fine, then just stopped. (the amp didnt work either, but something is wrong with it) so i tried shutting my car off and starting it back up and everything, nothing worked. i took my faceplate off and my secruity light was flashing like normal, and it would eject the cd, and we even checked the fuse and it was fine. We checked all the wires on the harness and they were all fine. We hooked up another deck later and it worked fine.
Does anyone know what could be wrong, and also would it still be warrentied by kenwood, or bestbuy where i got it.
Any help would be muchly appriciated.

sounds like it got fried, take it back to worst buy and get them to warranty it kenwood gives a year. The outputs are bad is my guess (I'm assuming your using the internal amp in the head unit) if you were using just an outboard amp and running 2 off the remote turn on you fried the remote turn on (if running multiple amps from it use a relay most can't handle the draw of multiple amps)

Yeah, I was using the internal amp, and only running one outboard amp off the remote turn on. I'm gona head up to best buy (worst buy) tomarow. I instauled it myself, (i know i did it right, cause i have hooked up many decks) do you think they will still warrenty it, or should i say a local audio shop did it?

When it comes to "Worst Buy", I have had little success in returns .

I've been kicked out before when aurging with the manager over a purchase. If they will fight you over a stupid $15 dollar DVD, they will fight you on anything. Now had it been "Wallsmart"... You could have just brought back the box and said your dog ate the product, and they will still honor your return . Good luck, your gunna need it!!

it's under warranty, if they won't warranty it call kenwood and tell them (kenwood is looking for reasons to drop the box stores since their return rates are 10 times higher than real shops) I never had an issue with them on warranty, and they can't void the warranty for you installing it, just take it from 2 years to 1

So I went up there today, and unfortunatly luck didn't help. They gave me crap for not having them instaul it. Then they were trying to convince me that they would test it for 20 bucks, but im not gona pay 20 bucks for a bunch of bestbuy nerds to tell me that it is broken. I guess I can send it straight to Kenwood, but I never registered it, so I dont know what they would do. I just don't want to be down $200. But i just read my warrenty card from kenwood, and it says that an authorized dealer should send it out for me. Should I go back and try and strong arm them, or just send it myself?
Thanks for the help guys.

never ever ever send in a registration card, they are not allowed to require it. Just send it to kenwood with your receipt they will take care of you (and tell them best buy wants to charge you to test it that's a no no) there should be a number in the manual for service, call them and tell them the trouble

I told ya ! I only buy there if I have to (and I try to not spend too much in case of a problem with the product).
