Hooking components up to a deck..

I know its not recommended, but I have a 99 grand prix and I dont have the money for a amp yet.

The power wires are dark green and light green and currently hooked up to one of those weird clip things and into the stock speakers....which one is positive and negative? I dont want to hook them up to my crossover..put it all back together and then realize its the wrong polarity.

lol i tought the grand prix came with stock factory tweeters
you could fit them on the topper side of the door panel
or the right opn the opposite side of the exterior mirror

.

like that tweeter mounted on top there

I dont think my tweeters would fit in the stock tweeter holes, im looking for an aftermarket housing or something.

If I cant get something like that, I was thinking of putting it in either of these 2 places:

Good descision?

the bottom one, no..
the sound is going to be partially blocked by the door handle. the thing you have to remember is that highs are very directional
the top location looks to be very rounded...i'm not sure what mounting options you have but i see potential problems

i really think you should reconsider the factory location
it might take a little "modification" work, but on that door it looks to be the best place

yea if u put them closer to the woofer part...not only would it be
not clear and directional...but also keep in mind that the passenger's knee
would be causing trouble

the highest red dot there is perfect if you ask me

otherwise the leather perforated part on top of the pw switch could work
but it could cause potential door skin damage

i put it in the fabric..it sounds great. next weekend im picking up a 4 ch amp.

Ive already roughed in the wire through the door so it should be easy. I think im going to put the amp in the trunk..whats the best route for power and the wires? Ive already got a power wire and RCA's for my sub going under the pannel closest to the door. I was thinking about taking out for front seat and feeding it through there.
