How hard would it be.....
To install a motion sensor in my car? I know they are made for verts so you can leave your top down and if someone reaches in the car the alarm will go off. I have never seen these sensors as a stand alone option and the local car audio shops refuse to sell you one unless they install it.

it's not too hard. i'll see what ones I have, they are only semi effective light effects tehm, and they are prone to false alarms, that's why I like ones that sense a battery draw (few thieves jump over the door, most open it)

I just want something to were I can leave my top down at work (I can see the car from were I work) and if someone reaches in my car my alarm will go off. Then I will go out to say hello with a 3/4 inch breaker bar in my hand.

That would also be helpfull for those that have t-tops.
First time I've heard about it. Sucks that it's "illegal" . Maybe have it where two sensors are pointed at both the passanger and driver seats. Or have a "motion" sensor built into the seat or something. To keep the alarm from going off prematurely. I'm liking this idea... screw illegal !

i had one on my 92 buick regal...i had a 2000 stereo system in it. the prox would have false alarms constantly...very annoying.
i took it in so many times to get it fixed and it still seemed to false alarm a lot.
i think my alarm in general was way over sensitive....cars would drive by chirp chirp chirp....the wind...what i didnt get is why it would go off in the garage for no reason.
