if money is not the question for u then go for the xplod system with some woofers at the back and dont just stick on to a cd player get a 3 in 1 in ur car that is a cassete player,mp3 player and a radio so that u can have some fun in ur car the sony xplod is the best system with some woffers which will rock ur car and give u the boost in ur drive...so have fun...

Well car audio for me is probably one of the most exciting hobbies that I have. For starters if you plan on a great sound you need to get an aftermarket deck. Stay away from the lower end models and if sound is the most important aspect then get a deck with a high SNL( signal to noise ratio) and mulitple inputs and outputs for amplifiers. Next comes upgrading those cheap factory door and rear deck lid speakers. For a great sound a set of components up front with full range coaxials in the rear. Component speakers offer the option of mounting the tweeter in a seperate location for better sound staging. After this then you want to move on to subwoofers and enclosures. depending on how much bass you prefer the most popular sizes are 10,12,and 15. With 2 10's its more of a tight hit while 2 15's wil offer a louder and more powerful boom and in my opinion 2 12's offer the perfect balance of mirror shaking bass. To power the subs you will need a mono or 2-channel amplifier that will match the rated RMS power of each speaker...( 2 subs at 250 rms each should get an amp with around 500watts rms ). Then if u truely want more i would suggest amplifying the 4 door speakers with a 4-channel amp that again matches each speakers RMS rating through the channel.Great Brands from my experience:MB quart, Pheonix gold, Alpine, Pioneer, Panasonic, Kenwood, Autotek (amps only), JL audio, diamond audio,Brands to avoidJensen, Profile, power acoustik, sony(amps and speakers), lightning audio.
