Install dilemma, need help tonight!!

Alright so I recently bought an Alpine CDA-9847 HU to finally replace my factory system, got the dash kit and everything. Here is my dilemma, I wired everything accordingly and the HU powers on and everything buttt there is no sound coming out of the semi-stock Monsoon system, I replaced the 4" speakers in the rear because they were blown. I checked my fuses and checked my wiring twice, is there anything that you all can think of that can help me!! Thank you

Are you sure you have a solid ground?

Or are you getting power just no sound? If you get no sound it sounds like a wiring problem.

Im getting power, power is not the problem.
Im getting no sound at all and I have no clue why?
I wired the speaker wires accordingly so I dont know what the problem is, I know my HU is in working condition because I had tested it using some speakers that were laying around.

Double check the speaker wiring, (im assuming your speakers are good, and work with the type of HU you have), and check your ground.

Well I know the speakers are good since I have been using them since I got the car, I will double check the wiring, maybe I accidentally crossed some wires, be back soon with the results

*** lol Nah tried that, I checked fuses, wiring, if something was grounding out, now my only question is does the Monsoon amp require the remote turn-on lead to be hooked into it? If it does what wire do I use?

yes it does. you can bypass that tho by connecting a small wire from the postive straight over to it for now.

Alright so which line do I wire it to? I know that the 2 orange wires on the amp are for power so are those the ones I use?

you should be able to do this behind the radio. In the harness that plugs into the car there should be an amp turn on or power antenna wire hook this to the remote wire on your radio and you should be golden.

Well, I still cant get it working but, who needs the monsoon amp anyway? I just decided to buy myself another amp, well 2 a Kenwood KAC-680s, old amp but still works and a Jensen, both 300 watts but just what I need to power my speakers and a MTX 10" SVC sub so lets hope I can get the ball running with that! Thanks for the help though but I got it covered from here, never good with factory systems, aftermarker was always my thing!

2Poor4Z is an unknown quantity at this point
ye depending on the initial setup in the car the amp factory amp needs to be bypassed.. you do not want to just hook the wiring for the remote wire into the power wire behind the headunit (and there is no pre-installed factory remote wire in the car).. by doing this you are automaticaly amplifing the speaker sound/power coming out of the headunit by using the headunits built in amplifier.. and then u are pushing that amplified signal into an amplifier.. which is in turn amplifing the signal again and sending it out to the speakers.. it will work, but however it is not good on any of the equipment because the HU will get some feedback in the way of power surges since the factory amplifier is not meant to have an amplified signal fed into it (it will reject some of it and it will surge back).. it is also not good on the amplifier nor the speakers.. you could be crossing ohm loads or any numbers of things.. and over time it will wear the equipment fast..

Well I am completely cutting out the Monsoon amp now, running my own wires for the speakers and doing my whole system with aftermarket components! There will be no trace of factory wiring in the system except for powering the HU and the illumination....and antenna too! ha Aftermarket systems have always been my forte so it will be easier this way, not to mention I already had half what I needed!
