got a fosgate t1 15" powered by an old school phoneix gold amp 180.2, and it pounds hard.

I'm going to be switching to a mono amp soon as it will render much better efficiency.

But fosgate gets my vote, haven't seen JBL much in the game in regards to woofers. Their amps are pretty decent from what Ive read.

ive had a set of 10" rockford hx2 punch series subs for about 4 years, not one of them have blown, and running them is a t10000 amp, (brand new) pumps about 1300 watts rms.. and the subs take it like a champ.. (they take 500 rms each).. i personally would go with fosgate.. But I have no experience with jbl..

IMO RF is sliding down hill in terms of quality. JBL subs are absolute powerhouses. RF in the late 80's early 90's was a monster that could not be beat. And JBL since the day it was born has always maintained there quality,R&D and more so their warranty. 1 Year Over the Counter no BS warranty equals minimal down time and headaches.

Can you explain how RF's quality has gone down hill. Funny because they are still the only company made in house in the U.S. and have over the counter exchange no questions asked. I love how since RF went into the big box stores everyone thinks their quality isn't as good, well that is simply not true all their amps produce more power than they are rated at and will take a beating.

I'm a RF fan myself...
but I haven't bought any subs in forever.

I actually have 2 Punch 15" DVCs in a 5.5 cubic foot box that I just took out of my car along with some other stuff that I was going to sell...

First off they are built off shore and then a few small parts added in the US to say they are still built in the US is a stretch. And there is quite a few that are built in North America. Actually Late to early 90's is they best decade ever. Just remember im not some guy that just has seen them in big box stores. I have been selling and installing for over 18years. All I am saying is they have slid. And they are not the only one. But when compairing JBL to RF. JBL has continually increased they quality, value, and relablity overall.
