how much power is your amp making? 4-gauge wouldnt hurt.

8gauge is sufficient for most systems I like overkill and went 4 gauge with mine though

I agree with the overkill idea, that's what I've always done but to be honest I don't remember what gauge mine is.

make sure when you install it, that the ground wire goes to the positive terminal!! Makes for a pretty light show!!

When I was running my Audiobahn/Infinty system, I ran 0 gauge, boy was that a bastard to fit!
