I've had both set-ups and the rockford set up was better...

hard choice... the 9500 mtx sub is killer, id go with rockford amp for sure and a t2 or 9500 sub thats would bump hard

SlvrTarantula has a little shameless behaviour in the past
You should at least change the title to warn people that reading this thread will cause a loss of brain cells..

Whats wrong with you people? Care to explain *WHY*?? Not that I dont agree with some of you, but just saying 'ROCKFORD IS BETTER' is meaningless unless its backed with some sort of a reason. So far chivan is the only one whose made an attempt to back their statements. For the rest of ya, your statements are useless.

MTX MZS1004 (300RMS) or Rockford P2(200RMS)

Which is better?

^out of those two i think the mtx would be better
but the rf would have more bang for the buck

however as you get to the high end side (i.e : 9500 vs T2) rockford
is better

Yea, it really depends on the model sub and what your looking for. More SPL or more SQ

I'vs had MTX, no rockford, but they are pretty cosistant and reliable amps. They are built to be run hard.

Rockford for amps because they have a good heating system. but do NOT run rockford amps with mtx subs......mtx is really picky about their amps

MTX for SUBS too many reasons. ex:

mtx stitch their cones to the rubber, rf glues it to the rubber
mtx has a better "spider" ventilating system design
mtx uses the same quality they build for all subs ex: a mzs is built with the quality of a 9500

ive had all types of setups. rockford amps are good
mtx is good for other mtx setups.
