MTX thunderform

i've decided to go with the easiest system i could get without a lot of fabrication work to make it look good the MTX thunderform /w sub 10 ". . . .

i was jsut wondering how it sounds or if anyone here actually has it . . .

i was also thinking of buying the box and sub from ebay and selling the sub seperate and installing a JL w6 10"

what do you guys think i should do?

The regualr MTX box w/ sub i would get for 190 that includes shipping

150-200 for the amp

Anout 500$ total for that idea

but if i sold the regular mtx sub and bought a JL i probably would bee looking to spend another 150 at most

About 650-700 for that one

I am willing to spend either ammount but i am looking for quality, and might be cheaper from what i said because of hook ups and the 200$ from graduation my dad is helping me with

I don't know about that MTX sub specifically, but I have 15" MTX in my Ventura with a JBL 1200 watt amp and it sounds really good. I mainly listen to rock, but even some of the rap I've had in there sounds good.

suthump.com steal box with an Elemental Designs 13kv or any driver of your choice for that matter will blow the MTX thunderform out of the water. A much more solid enclosure and a nicer sub

okay.. The MTX thunderform box is great, but www.subthump.com has a better box and its cheaper. Instead of plastic, the sub thump is made of 3/4" MDF and its carpeted. MTX makes great amps. Their subs and speakers suck.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ELEMENTAL DESIGNS AKA eD!!!!!!!! They are a rip off. They DO NOT honor their warranty, they are your best buddys when you are buying form them but they will turn their backs when their crappy equipment fails. There are SEVERAL people that will tell you the same thing. I have a Diamond D3 sub and i love it. Check it out. Diamond is the name.

You could always just ask around for recommended dimensions, buy a sheet of 3/4 MDF, and build your own box for about $50.
