subs

i have buddys that have both and honestly i think the type r is way better for sound quality and they tend to go to a better lower bass note but thats my opinion

depends on the setup, the type-r could've been closer to spec than the p3 but then again i don't know. To be honest i have a p3 ported box 1.3 cubic ft it hits decent and all but fosgate's new line is not so great. Between the two either get a type-r or try and look for a fosgate Hx2. The type r's give decent sq and pretty good spl and can take a good amount of power, i know people throwing between 500 rms to 800 rms to one type-r. Id say Hx2 then, type r.

yea the older fosgate it great but hard to find, the Hx2 would be good too but the problem is finding them to buy, thats why I have to pick better the P3 and Type R, i heard the P3 and it hitts hard, but i never heard the the TYpe R as yet...from doing some reasearch i looks like the type R is better than the P3...but again im still looking for opinions from other ppl

I have 2 12" HX2 Dual 2 ohms in a seperate chamber sealed box & they sound amazing. Clean & tight but very heavy too. The type R's are very impressive too but I guess me personally I like the fosgate. I have to agree the new fosgate line is not the greatest.

yea i heard the P3s play and it pounds, the amp im running is a 1500 RMs HiFonics amp, so i have enuff power, but i heard that plastic face of the P3 tend to break and that the coil isnt that stronge, i havnt heard much on the Type Rs tho, but im always getting a 50:50 between the P3 and type Rs....

If you are looking into getting a better sub get either Orion or RE audio. Both very good subs and can hit hard.

I was also going to say before you dish out the money for a P3 or Type R.....look at RE Audio.

Their quality is way better quality than both of those (and I'm not just saying that because of its price)....

Look around for yourself tho, but i guarantee to you, you'll be happier with an RE sub especially with that amp you have.
